In Washington DC, Malachy Kilbride of NCNR and Alyssa Rohricht of CodePink delivered the letter to the German Embassy on May 26 as others held a vigil outside.
In New York City, Nick Mottern of KnowDrones, Debra Sweet of World Can’t Wait, and the Granny Peace Brigade delivered to the German Consulate there. There is a photo of their Drone in front of the consulate in New York below.
Activists from Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace, Little Falls OCC-U-PIE, and Minneapolis joined in solidarity with Ramstein peace activists to say no to US drone warfare via Ramstein Air Base. We enjoyed highlighting the need for the US to cease and desist all illegal drone extrajudicial killings immediately. Participants enjoyed refreshments and lively discussion throughout both vigils. We thank everyone involved for calling us to action and their contribution to this urgent cause. Gallery of pictures below – Continue reading Report Back from Little Falls OCC-U-PIE
On May 20th, Brian Terrell joined members of several local organizations in a protest at Whiteman Airforce Base near Kansas City, Missouri, a base from which drones are piloted overseas. In his speech, Brian highlighted Ramstein:

Report Back From: Carol Baum of the Syracuse Peace Council and the Upstate Coalition to Ground the Drones and End the Wars
Just wanted to let you know that today (May 21) we held a solidarity vigil to close the US Drone Base in Germany, Ramstein. We stood outside Hancock Air Base (in Syracuse), getting some (but not a lot of) media attention, but we did get a lot of car honks of support (but not from the cars coming out of the base).
If you haven’t planned one yet, please consider it – we need to stand in solidarity with the German activists trying to get Ramstein closed down. Please note – our translation of “Stop the Global Drone War” probably should have been Stoppt den US-Drohnen-Krieg via Ramstein (this is the slogan being used in Germany, but we found out about it too late). I’ve pasted our news release below, so you could adapt it to your own needs if you wanted to. Continue reading Hancock Solidarity Vigil to Close the US Drone Base in Germany, Ramstein
